BSCI (Business Social Compliance Initiative)
BSCI is a common European platform of retailers, importers and industry, monitoring and improvement of social standards in supplier countries for consumer goods. The initiative is based on the labor standards of the International Labour Organization (ILO) and other important international regulations such as the UN Human Rights Charter, as well as national legislation.
The initiative has set itself the goal of improving the social performance of suppliers. This leads to best practices such as the SA8000 certification or similar systems such as the FTA platform, thereby creating sustainability with improved working conditions in factories. Thus Gardinia guaranteed by the membership also contribute to the fair together.
