Business social compliance initiative

As a producer of consumer goods, GARDINIA assumes social responsibility by explicitly taking social issues into account for all business processes and decisions. This is why we are committed to the principles of fair cooperation as a member of the Business Social Compliance Initiative (BSCI).

BSCI is a common European platform for retailers, industry and importers that monitors and improves social standards in sourcing countries of consumer goods. The initiative is based on the work standards of the International Labour Organisation (ILO) and further international regulations, such as the Universal Declaration of Human Rights by the UN, and national laws.

Its aim is to improve the social performance of suppliers. This leads to best practices such as the SA8000 certification or similar systems, e.g. the FTA platform, and improves working conditions and sustainability in factories.
